The VISCO JET® VJ421 column agitator is the ultimate solution for all product-critical processes with different container shapes, sizes and volumes in the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and chemical sectors. This column agitator has an enclosed lifting mechanism and is made entirely of stainless steel, thus meeting the highest standards of hygiene as well as being quick and easy to clean.

With a drive power of up to 5.5 kW and a height adjustment of up to 1,600 mm, this agitator also offers maximum flexibility, even with large transport containers and difficult media.

Our control solutions also allow you to adjust the agitation speed, time and level, and to select and manage recipes. In addition, networking within the framework of Industry 4.0 is possible via an OPC UA interface.

Easy to assemble

The agitator can be mounted on the floor using a base or on the wall with a mounting plate. If required, the agitator can also be installed overhead.


The agitator is suitable for stirring large batches in transport containers up to a height of 1,600 mm or e.g., 1000-l or 600-l IBCs, 200-l stainless steel or plastic drums, hobbocks, stainless steel or plastic tubs as well as customised containers


The lift height can be quickly and easily adjusted electrically at the touch of a button on the switch set or control panel of the control unit. The control unit is mounted directly on the agitator thus ensuring an ergonomic user-friendly process


Highest hygiene standards

The design of the column housing in high-quality stainless steel and the built-in lifting mechanism meet the highest hygiene requirements and make it easy and quick to clean, thus avoiding long downtimes during production


High level of safety during agitator operation thanks to the integrated working position switch and container detection on the column base. Operation of the agitator is only enabled after positive feedback from the safety switches.

  • Individual or standardised lid design as splash protection or for zone separation in ATEX applications. At the customer’s request, these can also be equipped with connection pieces for pumps or suction systems
  • Positioning aid for quick positioning of an IBC in front of the agitator
  • Flexibly adjustable container detection and fixation for use with widely varying container diameters to ensure maximum safety for the user
  • Ground or electropolished finish of all components in contact with the product with Ra<0.8 µm or Ra<0.4 µm for even easier, faster and safer cleaning
  • Different control variants with safety category SIL3, which make the manufacturing process more efficient and reproducible, e.g. by setting the stirring speed and stirring time
